Most of the world's coffee growers are small farmers. In Colombia, most of the coffee grown is on the hillsides in small farms. The terrain often means no machines can be used. In Brazil, it is a bit different, thanks to its larger areas.
They have had many long term relationships with leading exporters of coffee in South America, Central America and East Africa. Some coffee growers, we have worked with for decades.
Brazilian coffee is neutral in flavor, has a little sweetness and lacks acidity. It is often used as a base in a mixture and seasoned with other varieties. Coffee from Colombia provides much acidity. Guatemala orenya . Coffee from East Africa and Central America gives force and "body" (makes coarse coffee.) Beans from Costa Rica are less complex flavor than coffee, for example, Guatemala and Kenya.
